Life Without Leprosy Foundation (Liwile).

Estimates by the health ministry show that there are 2600 new infectious cases each year in Tanzania but that is a major cut in the 36,000 new cases annually recorded in the early 1980’s, However in Dodoma hospitals used to receive 150 patients a day and now they only register 10 to 20 per month which is to say approximately 240 cases annually which is 9.2% out of 26 regions of Tanzania and that’s a problem.
